Your safety and that of the motoring public are two of our top priorities. That’s why you’ll get unmatched training during your paid new driver orientation when you join our ranks. You’ll also get to experience first-hand what makes System Transport more than a job – but a family. And if you’re new to flatbedding, our industry-leading flatbed truck driver training program will get you ready to hit the road.
We will fly you to Spokane, Washington for orientation. We’ll pay for your room, breakfast and lunch while you’re here – dinner is your time to explore. Arrive Sunday and hit the ground running Monday morning.

Driver Orientation FAQ’s
Do I get reimbursed for luggage fees?
YES! You will be reimbursed for luggage fees up to 2 bags, 50 lbs max each, with proof of receipt.
Will I have a roommate?
NO! You will have a single occupancy room all to yourself.
What day do I check out of the motel?
You’ll check out either Friday of your orientation week or the following Sunday to travel to your truck, depending upon when your training session is complete.
What time does the shuttle take me to and from the motel?
The shuttle departs the motel between 6:00am and 6:15am each day. Check with the front desk to confirm. You will leave Trans System at 5:00pm following the day’s training.
Will you serve lunch?
YES! We’ll serve lunch during your orientation. We invite you to explore what your options for dinners, as they are your responsibility.
What is the PACE training system?
The PACE driver training system is a defensive driver training program aimed at teaching drivers to recognize and eliminate their own at-risk driving behaviors, while also proactively anticipating unsafe actions by other drivers on the road. PACE stands for Plan, Analyze, Communicate, Execute.
How big is Trans-System, and how do you treat your drivers?
Our three companies – System Transport, TWT Refrigerated Service and James J. Williams Bulk Service Transport – total over 1,100 trucks and nearly 1,300 employees. Drivers from all divisions will be at your orientation – so it will be a great opportunity to discover the other companies.
