Trans-System, Inc., (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of applicants for employment with us and the privacy of our employees (“Job Applicants and/or Employees”).  Pursuant to section 1798.100 of the California Civil Code, Job Applicants and Employees have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information that we collect.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason.  We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of this Privacy Policy.  Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Site, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification.

You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.  You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Site or provision of personal information after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways.  We may collect information through a service provider that we utilize to locate and screen job applicants.  We also may collect information directly from Job Applicants and Employees by way of an online initial short form application.  The information we may collect and use includes:

Personally identifiable information, such as your name, physical address, email address, and telephone number, and demographic information, such as your age, gender, hometown, and interests, that you voluntarily give to us or our service provider(s), including Tenstreet, when you apply for employment with us .  You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however your refusal to do so may prevent you from applying for employment.  More specifically, the personal information we collect includes the following:

PURPOSE FOR COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect and use the foregoing information in the general context of the natural person’s role or former role as a job applicant to or an employee of Trans-System, Inc.  More specifically we collect and use the information for the following purposes:

  1. To communicate with Job Applicants and Employees regarding job applications and employment related issues;
  2. To communicate with Job Applicants’ and Employees’ emergency contacts in the event of an emergency;
  3. To comply with government regulations;
  4. To properly compensate employees and administer benefit programs;
  5. To assure employees have the proper licensure to perform their job functions; and
  6. To assure the safety and competency of our employees and others.

RESPONDING TO A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Upon receipt of a request from a Job Applicant or Employee, we will confirm the foregoing categories of information collected and provide the Job Applicant or Employee with the specific information we acquired with respect to the particular requesting party.  We will deliver that information free of charge to the Job Applicant or Employee.  We may do so either by mail or electronically in a readily usable format that will allow the Job Applicant or Employee to convey the information to another entity without hindrance.  Please note that we are not required to provide personal information upon request more than twice in a twelve month period.
